The Annual Bellbrook Lions
Fruit Basket Delivery Project!!

Every Christmas the Bellbrook Lions & Lioness Clubs make Christmas Fruit Basket deliveries to Sugarcreek Township & Bellbrook widows and widowers. We meet at the Lions Grange Center at 8:30AM for coffee, doughnuts and visitation with fellow members, then break into groups of 2-3 for delivery of the baskets. Each group delivers 8-15 baskets, depending on the area of the community in which the baskets will be delivered. Some outlying areas required more coverage. Years ago, members would purchase the fruit, nuts and baskets and put them together themselves. Now, because of the total number of baskets that we donate, they are purchased from Dot's Supermarket in Bellbrook. The good feeling that our members get from giving, is very meaningful. The Bible says that you should help the orphans and the widows. This is our way of remembering them.
